Christmas Card Pictures! Thankful #3

Today I'm going to combine my Thankful Day #3 & a post because I'm thankful for PHOTOS. I love them. If you read my blog you already knew that. I have some problems with my long term memory, and so nothing makes me happier than to see photos from fun times before. I've been a bit terrified that I won't remember much of Clara being so little, but I love that I can capture images easily, and have them forever.

Today we loaded up and headed to Sears to get some photos taken for our Christmas cards!! I was so pleased with them!! We will also take Clara's 6 month photos with Shannon later on that will double as more Christmas photos, but I wouldn't get those back in time to make cute cards, so here we are :) I hope you like them!!

(Also, side-note: Sear's prices for photography are very reasonable!)

Mommy's great giftbox idea!

You may remember the pumpkin I carved and stuck her legs through a while back. I thought why not do something similar for the Christmas season too! So here's a diaper box wrapped & cut so that she could fit through it. And then I packed tissue paper to take along as well. I think this ended up being a terrific idea! (But I did come up with it, so I'm probably overly biased, lol).

Thankful November #2

Today I am thankful for this blog! I actually find it very therapeutic and enjoyable to be able to put all the pictures I take and be able to write about what's going on - whether it's good, bad, or neutral.

I think in today's age my generation has been so exposed to social networking that we feel like we HAVE to share what's going on with us. I don't necessarily like posting every picture or writing statuses constantly, but I really do like to share, and this blog provides that medium for me. I also like that I know I have some regular readers so it keeps me moderate when I do share, which has the added benefit of me trying to calm my thinking down when I need to. So I am also thankful for you, dear readers! :)

Thankful November Day #1

Today, the 1st of November, I'm thankful for salvation. I'm thankful for Jesus dying on the cross so that I get to spend eternity in Heaven despite my many sins. I'm so thankful that even though I'm such a imperfect person, flawed, and struggling, I am saved.

Mom's Visit

I have been having a rough time lately, and Mom generously offered to come stay with us for a few days while Dad was out of town. We had a good visit, and managed to enjoy some time with Clara, the puppies, and get some errands run. Although I've been pretty good at running errands with Clara by myself, I always appreciate an extra set of hands!
