What have we been up to lately? SO MUCH. I've tried to give glimpses into our life through Facebook, Instagram, and a few brief blog posts, but I know it's not the same. I'll try to do a series to let you see what we've been up to.
Goose is home and she and Emma have been trying to figure out who actually comes second in the pet/child hierarchy.
Mav looks indifferent here, but they've been so happy to be reunited
I've been practicing French Braids on Clara
We go to the park any time it's below 90* and we don't think we'll leave a pint of blood behind for the mosquitos.
I got out of the shower and found Emma like this Saturday morning
We decided to go to the Burger King near us because they have a play ground area that even Emma can climb up into.
Clara had a lot of fun playing, but Emma kept following Clara around with Clara's shoes saying "shoes! bye bye" so I guess she didn't wanna play :)
We said it was time to go and Clara collapsed in a heap on the floor. The agony of being 3.
Once Emma saw her do this, she did the same.
And then Emma decided to rearrange everyone's shoes.
Ayiyiyi.
We fed them lunch, they took naps, and then we went over to Mrs. Powell's house for Jackson's 2nd Birthday Party! (Dr. Seuss themed)
Clara was thrilled they had a bouncy house
"I'm THREE. Emma only one."
Birthday parties are a thirsty business.
loved the goodie bag
Phew.
CB: "Tuptakes! Jackson you TWO now!" - apparently it takes cake to make it official :)
mmmmm, green icing
so pootered out
Jackson opening the girls' gift
Super hero little people
Then Bryan and I dropped the girls off at home with our babysitter and went to a party with some of Bryan's coworkers, and watched the Aggie game (whoop for the win!)
On Friday afternoon I spent some time playing with my girlies
They look so big sitting at the bar! (sorry about the mess)
and then Lulu came over! Clara was especially happy about this because Marissa, Molly, JJ, Clara, Emma, and I put together a fun birthday present for her, but Clara helped me wrap it and needed Lulu to open it NOW :) So happy birthday a week early Lulu!
Such helpful granddaughters:
Molly & JJ made "L"s and Clara and Emma made "U"s to spell LuLu
We had dinner and Emma played peekaboo with us
And then we went outside to play some more:
loves her silly Lulu
Now I have a ton of videos of the girls jumping and singing with me and Lulu.
(For some reason the videos are posting in the reverse order of how they happened... no idea why)
So stinking cute!
Then we went inside and the girls spent some time drawing with Lulu!
Emma did some scribbles and it ended up looking surprisingly like an airplane - Clara was very impressed and then so was Emma, hehe
As tends to happen when I get super busy, I slack on the blogging. I have pretty much the entire month of September filed away and ready for me ... but, oh well. I'll get to it soon (hopefully). In the meantime, here are some photos from the day of October!
(still in the 90s here, so hot as usual!)
Playset!
Adores the outdoors
Strong big sister! (wearing her new favorite dress)

Emma's on this new "I'll lay down everywhere" kick
I dressed Emma in 9 month pants today thinking the'd be great as capris. Nope. They just finally fit as pants. (Petite baby problems)
