Landon's Party, Part 2

Post-swimming it was time for cake!

At first he was a little slow to get started...

So while he was discovering the joy of sugar, we did a little more playing.

When we walked back into the kitchen, this is what we found:

Clara wasn't too concerned about the cake. She just wanted to socialize.

Landon's Sockmonkey Birthday Party!

Following the playdate at Landon's house was his Sockmonkey themed 1st birthday party!

Clara was apparently having a bit of a hat day, and boy can she rock the cowgirl in a diaper look, haha :)

Then the kiddos played on the splashpad and in the swimming pool - they had a blast!

After all the swimming it was time for Landon's cake smash! But blogger is being silly so I may have to do a second post to finish up Landon's party.

Well, dear friends, I have a list of SEVEN blog posts I still need to do! SEVEN! This last week/weekend was INSANE. Blogging just had to fall off my list of priorities, but now that baby is asleep and HGTVStar is playing on DVR thingy, I can finally catch up :)

First up is from maybe 2 weeks ago?? (oops)

Clara and I met up with Mr. Chad, Ms. Lauren, and Landon for lunch at Freebirds and then joined them at their house for a playdate.

First there was playing in a box to be done:

Go away, Landon! you have cooties!

And opening and closing the doors to the entertainment system to be done:

Followed by playing the open-close-open-close the door game. (Clara was on the other side)

These babies were pretty pooped out after all of that hard core playing :)

It was great to hang out with our friends!

Birthday Shopping

I think Clara is a big fan of the gift she will be getting on Wednesday!

(As in she realllllly did not want to get off of it - except to climb back on - even when it was in the cart. Kind of a strange change of pace from her usual cart-pushing.)
