Friday, Day #3 was completely devoted to wine – and Napa Valley. We had a driver (whoop!) so we were all able to taste and try lots of different wines.
We went to three specific vineyards – Cakebread, V. Sattui, and Sterling. Each one was completely unique to the others, which made it more interesting and fun each time we stopped.
First up, Cakebread Cellars. They had a wine I ADORED – Vin de Porch (meaning, literally, Porch Wine). YUM! I enjoyed it so much that Bryan & I bought 4 bottles. (Too bad it can’t be bought anywhere else.)

Then we went to V. Sattui. Before tasting any more wine, we picnicked! They have a little shop with bread, wine, cheese, sliced deli meat, & crackers. They’ve also got picnic tables out on the lawn. Best lunch of the whole trip! Then, of course, the wine tasting commenced. This time Bryan bought some & so did Mom.

Lastly, we went to Sterling. This was very cool because they had cable cars that took us above the vineyard. It’s a HUGE place, and you tour the place by going to taste station to taste station – 5 total. It was a stunning view!
