Pre-Easter Fun

Yesterday started feeling a little bit weird because although it was Saturday, we had had Thursday and Friday off too, and it felt like a Sunday or Monday. Since we don't have a routine for this many days off at one time, it was a hodge podge of things we did for fun.

We played outside in the morning for a long time. The weather has been pretty much perfect here, which is so rare, so we have been squeezing every last drop of pleasant sunshine without the intense heat and humidity that is on its way.

Since Clara was so sick last week, we kept her home from gymnastics, MUCH to her disappointment. When I checked my email in the morning, though, I saw that Kidville (where she goes to gymnastics) was having an open gym playtime from 10-12. Bingo! But Emma was ready for a nap, so Bryan and Clara went together and had "SO much fun" :)

Once they got home we facetimed with our family up in Midland. I had explained to Clara about her new cousin, Jessica, Molly's new baby sister, but I don't think it truly sunk in until she saw her.

Clara reassured Molly that being a big sister is awesome, and Emma and Clara (and ME, for that matter!) all oohhh'd and aahhh'd over sweet baby Jessica.

Then we got up to our usual messes:

 Then we went to a Pre-Easter Dinner Celebration at Aunt Jana and Uncle Keith's house. MeMaw and Papaw were there, Aunt Tricia and Uncle Dewayne, Blake, Reagan, Reed and his girlfriend Paige, Garrett, Kevin and Kyle. Marissa's Dad, Larry, was also present! It was really nice to see everyone!

After dinner the girls had a lot of fun outside.

 These girls were sound asleep before we hit the freeway. Just too much fun.
