We usually go out to eat after church on Sunday, and then head home for naps. This Sunday Clara asked for some jello, and we told her if she ate her lunch first she could have some. Apparently it looked so wonderful Clara was more than willing to eat things she normally wouldn't just to taste the "green wiggly stuff" :)
She loved it! Jello for the win! |
For some reason Emma always wakes up first from our family nap times :(
But she is so cute |
"cheeeeeeese" |
Then we had a very special surprise for Clara: we met Ally & Katie at the swimming pool!! She was SO excited when she saw them!
I ended up having a surprise too: one of my recently graduated students was lifeguarding there!
All of The Woodlands Township pools have mandatory safety breaks for kids, when the lifeguards go off duty for a little while. We've had to teach Emma that she needs to "sit on your bottom, on the chair" and have just been consistently making that our policy, because otherwise she just wants to head right back into the water (adult or not).
Following directions! good job, Emma! |
This baby pool was perfect |
Clara had so much fun with her friends and going down the slide! There was only one short lived rain shower while we were there (no thunder, thankfully!) so we didn't have to leave before we were ready.
Clara likes to practice holding her breath and putting her head under water, but it freaks me out and every other adult/life guard near by.
Clara and her friends going down the slide a few times:
Slow motion crash (oops!):
We found these old school snacks at the grocery store the other day, the spreadable cheese and cracker things. They look gross to me as an adult but we thought they may be easy pool side snacks. Well, it turns out that Emma thinks they are the most amazing snack ever :)

And just because she's adorable here too:
Just a regular Sunday in our household. Have a great week everyone! And stay dry!
