Soccer!

Some of you may know that I've been coaching Clara's 3 year old soccer team. It's been an adventure for sure! (And it's EXHAUSTING!)

Our Dallas Dinosaurs in action! (We were assigned the city but I got to pick our mascot :)

To tell you the truth, Clara isn't much of a soccer player. She'd much rather eat a snack, watch the clouds, play the sand, etc. She DOES like to kick the ball when it happens, and she's terrific at stopping the ball by falling on top of it and grabbing it away from other players, but that's not really the idea unless you're a goalie, and there aren't any goalies until older ages. BUT I'm glad we're giving it a shot.

I'll never coach again though.

Post game snack is the best part!

always the cones!

Another game this Saturday!

Happy Birthday Emma Lou!

All of these are from Emma's actual 2nd birthday (almost a month ago! ooops)

You are TWO!! Littlest Dude, you are my snuggler and my engineer. You like to play catch with mommy, dance with Clara, and build Legos with daddy. You adore your grandparents, the park, and finding the moon in the sky. When you're excited you turn on your "happy feet" and it's one of my favorite things in this world! You have strong opinions about which shoes you'll wear each day and can almost get them on yourself now. You're also ~50% potty trained! You are fearless, especially in the water, and swim remarkably well for your age.  You hit when you're angry and throw some seriously epic tantrums, but thankfully time out is working for you right now. "No" is a favorite word, and we are going to have to work on that. God made you to be such a special little person, Emma Lou, so weird and fun and sweet. I love you!

Literary Children

I confess! I'm sorry! I've been dreadful!

BUT, if you have about 15 minutes to kill (I know that can be hard to come by) here are some hilarious videos of Clara giving a recap of Sleeping Beauty and Little Mermaid, and Emma "reading" Down By the Barn (which is easily her current favorite, followed by.... yes, Jingle Bells. Classic April in Texas reading hehe).

Sleeping Beauty Recap by Clara:

Little Mermaid was too long for one video so it's in two parts. Sorry if they overlap or I ended up skipping some:

(Part 1)

(Part 2)

And here's Emma reading Down by the Barn:

My *HONK* excuse :)

Well, I've been the world's worst at blogging lately, but I've been behind on just about everything. It's for a good cause though!!!

This is why I've been almost insane :)
