End of April... "It's gonna be MAY!"

Sorry, sorry, couldn't help it .... :)
If you don't get the pop culture reference above, here's the song that's turned into this joke: N'SYNC: "It's Gonna Be Me" although I don't recommend watching the movie. Just listen to the song :)

Back to our regular scheduled blogging:

Clara asked me for a princess braid this morning, and since her hair was a little too unruly for a super quick french braid, I did this, and still think it turned out cute!

A lunch of fig nutons and banana, yummmy
When we went upstairs for nap time, once I got her up Emma was SUPER chatty and exploring everywhere. So fun!

Emma is starting to get to the stage where she likes to be read to. I'm so glad! Clara has almost always loved it, so that I was a little worried when Emma wasn't too interested, but now she's good with short and simple board books, and even more excited if it's one of the touch and explore ones.

big girl!
Clara successfully came home from school WITHOUT.A.SINGLE.TANTRUM today. This is HUGE. The last 2 months she has been horrible about that transition period, and somehow it just clicked for her today!! I'm praying fervently it lasts. Since I was hoping this would eventually happen, I've had a treat ready for Clara for just such an eventuality - Minnie Mouse glasses! (and some little pink ones for Emma because I knew they'd both be asking where Emma's pair was if I only got Clara some, ha)
CB: "Mommy! I got glasses cuz I was so sweet to Mommy!" Me: "That's right, Clara!!"
 Too cool for school.

I was so proud of Clara and really amped up the praise so she would hopefully start connecting that when she behaves well Mommy is super happy and good things happen.
I think God knew I needed a few good days with her. This two-almost-three stage is brutal.

Sittin' and stylin'
Bryan's birthday was today too! That post can be found here

Keeping busy and silly (4/27-2/29)

Our life the last few days in photos....
These girls love to use ANYTHING to pretend to talk on the phone. Here they are using a granola bar, I believe :)

We had friends over for dinner and playtime:

This video cracks me up. Follow the leader juice box style:

Juice boxes for all!
Older ones jumping up and down
Littles driving around

Riah giving Clara a ride
Clara giving lots of instructions, ha
Once the mosquitos were out in full force we retreated inside.

Putting out fires and walking babies
Clara "reads":

I love it when she reads to me :)
Tiny toes and an adorable grin
I leave her on her own for less than a minute and she manages to dump most of the books off. Impressive.

Caught in the act!
Snacks! And puzzles (by cousin Kyle)
Sharing some raisins
This is Clara's version of her name (not too bad for a two year old)
C a a r L ;) at least she knows the letters!
Mama did some crafting with Clara
One of Emma's favorite foods: blueberry waffles, yumm
I had to stay late at work on Wednesday, so Lulu took Clara to gym by herself. Thank you Lulu! Sorry I couldn't be there. I heard it was a maze theme, so I bet that was fun. Then we decided to hit the park since it was such a beautiful day.

3 lovely ladies, all in a row
Lulu pushing Clara on the BIG GIRL swing! :0
Swinging a different way
Emma can be so strange, but we love her :)
girlie inspection
"I need to swing next to Emma!!"
"Swing next to Emma in GWEEN SWING!"

"I need to seesaw with Emma!"
Do you sense a recurring theme? These girls LOVE each other, and they love to play with each other.
Makes me sooo happy and proud of them.

Working hard with the tongue out, hehe
Then after Papa's big announcement, we went to dinner with Papa and Lulu! (Daddy came too.)
2 of my sweethearts
Chatting with Papa
They had LOTS of conversations, but here's one I caught on video:

These girls ADORE their Lulu and Papa!!!

Signing the check
A fun and busy couple of days!!

Bryan's Birthday!! (iFly style)

Bryan and I went indoor skydiving for Bryan's birthday!! It was AWESOME!!

I kept it a surprise, so he was pumped when we pulled up :)

In flight
About to spin the to the top!

We both had an AWESOME time!!

When we go back, we'll ask for "Danimal" for sure - you should too!

Then we went to Guadalajara for Bryan's birthday dinner.
They even brought him dessert!!

Then he opened his present from the girls, although they were already in bed.

Tiny foot prints :)
Thank you for watching the kids Lulu & Papa!!!

Here are the videos of our flights! We got better and better each flight.

Easter/Bluebonnet Pictures of the girls!

Amanda Shinn Photography took these lovely pictures of the girls for me :)

(after the first few we managed to convince Clara that she didn't need a "bambaid" on her forehead anymore :)

love them!!
