What have we been up to lately? SO MUCH. I've tried to give glimpses into our life through Facebook, Instagram, and a few brief blog posts, but I know it's not the same. I'll try to do a series to let you see what we've been up to.
Goose is home and she and Emma have been trying to figure out who actually comes second in the pet/child hierarchy.
Mav looks indifferent here, but they've been so happy to be reunited
I've been practicing French Braids on Clara
We go to the park any time it's below 90* and we don't think we'll leave a pint of blood behind for the mosquitos.
On Monday I had an English training up at school, but it ended a little earlier than expected, so I picked the girls up from school and met our friends (The Bunnis') at The Woodlands Children's Museum! (it's soooooo hot here, my goodness, can't handle a park playdate right now)
Emma had a ton of fun shopping!
Video:
And Clara was excited to literally bump into Zachariah in the store :) hehe
so tiny
Then there was cooking in the kitchen of course:
And checking out the rubber mulch pit:
Clara & Jonah
Emma wasn't too sure about this at first, but if she could keep her shoes on and sit in my lap off of the mulch, she thought scooping it up and dumping it was cool. She doesn't like grass either - kind of an anti-texture person I suppose.
And then I "chased" her around and around the tunnel
And she thought it was amazing :)
And then guess who surprised the girls?! PAPA!!!
These little ladies adore their Papa!!
Having a tiny tea party
Did you know tea cups are also sea shells? :)
Don't forget to pray before you eat - even over pretend food!!
love this so much
A little sliding around...
... and some choo choo trains ...
this face
... and lounging around (her feet are blurry because she was happily kicking them up and down and up and down for a good long while)
Meanwhile Clara did some crafting, and picked out some of the most hilarious combinations. I'm so glad I didn't influence her choices because I never would have some up with something so cute and comical.
We shall call him "unicorn man"
(the horn is actually a "sleeve" for his shirt by the way, hehehehe)
She did a super job!
Then Papa had to go :(
We were so happy he joined us! Thank you so much!
But we went to dinner with our friends, and Clara got a good leg work out in on the way there. That stroller is pretty heavy with two kids on it! go girl!
These two making eyes at each other
sweet friends
And Riah and Clara both hitched a ride back to the car.
A great playdate with all around awesome people. Thanks Papa and Michelle/Jonah/Riah for joining us!
I've had some interesting iPhone drama lately, but I do now have a phone that works and connects to my computer, so I finally transferred over my pictures from the last 5 or so days and picked some to share :) It'll just be a random post full of photos.
We do lots of swinging! (and sliding) now that we have the playset.
(Although the heat is BRUTAL)
Then the girls love on each other so much and it's wonderful! I can't help taking a few pictures when they're being extra sweet.
Emma! What are you doing! sit down, child
Matching pajamas!
Emma adores Clara
Matching whale butts :)
I got a haircut
We've visited Lulu and Papa
and Clara put Lulu to night night
and Papa read Emma books
And Lulu read Clara books (and may still be feeling the lingering effects of night night, hehe)
And we got burgers! yum!
Clara stopped to smell the roses in a very literal sense
Clara: "Uh oh! The f'owers made my nose tickle!!"
she's so stinking cute
Emma sitting so pretty at school with her snack
Clara at the splash pad (in pink of course)
The Bunnis family joined us for swimming and spaghetti at Lulu and Papa's house:
Emma and Jonah in a floating basket - buddies since birth
Clara & Zachariah on a duck
After some messy spaghetti (and yogurt for some little people), Lulu had a treat for everyone!
yummmmy
Jonah really wanted Emma's shoes
Emma has been obsessed with this little baby lately - puts it in a stroller, puts it in baskets, in high chairs, etc. I think it's so sweet :)
And that's pretty much it! Hopefully with the technical issues resolved you'll see more of us now!
