Beautiful Fall Saturday

SO much has been going on! I have so many other pictures of happenings lately but I'll summarize this past Saturday for now because it truly was the *perfect* fall day!!

There were snuggles and naps:

We nursed babies and dolls :)

Such a good mommy
We celebrated ballerinas and super babies:

Rose the horsey (AKA Mommy) over and over and over :)
And she made lots of silly happy faces:

Busted out the chalk and drew letter "a"s and trees and suns:

And got our feet all dirty

Helped clean Daddy's car:

And then Bryan and I went to the A&M vs. Rice football game with our friends Michelle & Logan while Lulu and Papa took good care of our girls:

An awesome day!!

Basketball & Grandparents

Bryan is a contributing writer for an A&M website called Good Bull Hunting. He's a goofy fella and has made some good friends with other members of the team. Good Bull Hunting invited Bryan and I to join the group in College Station for a lunch/drinking binge and then the Texas A&M vs. Tennesee basketball game.

Thinking that perhaps bars are not the best place for our Sunshine, Clara is spending the day with her Grandpa, Celina, Alexandra, and Ronnie.

Bryan and I drove up to CS, and joined a pretty good sized group of Good Bull Hunting people for lunch at the Dixie Chicken, drinking at the pub Black Water Draw (minus my pregnant self of course. The bar tender was nice and kept me supplied with plenty of water :) It was fun! The guys were hilarious.  Then we went to Reed Arena to watch some Aggie
Hoops.

The Aggies even won!
No one expected us to beat Tennessee, but we did :)

Thank you to the Evans for keeping Clara and to my Mom for getting our house cleaned and laundry done. We are super spoiled!

A&M vs. Mississippi State

Yesterday was the last home game of the Aggie football season - and the last game before the Kyle Field we've all known is gone. Next season it will look completely different!

Lulu and Papa volunteered to keep Clara and Molly so that Bryan, Grady and I could attend the game. (Marissa was at a women's church retreat so she couldn't go.)

I think Clara enjoyed seeing Miss Molly again :)

Video:

One day these two are going to be very good friends :)

Then while Clara was occupied and Molly chilling, we headed to College Station.

Bye bye!

Knowing that the field is about to change, I learned how to take a panorama on my phone. Cool, huh? (if you click on it it gets bigger)
Right before game time
Then during half time the band played.

Video of part of the band (and Bryan's favorite maneuver the 4 part cross):

Then Senior Boot Line happened and all of the seniors in the corp got out on the field to make a large block T (which apparently is harder than it sounds :)

Video:

Another panorama (I was enjoying my new skill :)

We had an awesome time, and the Aggies won! (Whoop!) Loved spending time with these two.
Thanks again Lulu & Papa!!

A&M vs. Rice

Opening game of the our football season was on Saturday. Mom and Dad kept Clara while Bryan and I went to the game with Jacob and his little sister Emily. This is the day Bryan counts down too every single year :)

Due to crazy traffic on Wellborne, it took us longer to park than we anticipated, so we missed the fly over and kick-off, but were there shortly after.

Unfortunately, the Aggies got off to a rather pathetic start. Manzel was suspended for half a game from the whole autograph debacle, and then 6 of our starting defense players are suspended for 2 games due to smoking weed. Sumlin - please lay the smack down on these boys!!

I really believe that if players can't play due to something THEY did, their scholarships should be docked. We are essentially agreeing that it's okay to screw around, hurt our team, and still get paid. If you smoked weed, you'd be fired from any other job! (unless you live in CA or CO of course.)
It's not even like it's a truly terrible crime - but they KNOW it's illegal, they KNOW it's against the rules, they KNOW pulling a stunt like that can get them suspended and they did it anyway. Realllllly ticks me off.
End rant.

It was seriously hot. People were fainting everywhere. Bryan took such good care of me and made sure we had plenty of water, battery operated fans, and these cloth things that soak up water that you can wear around your neck. Even with all of those helpful tools, it was still insanely hot. Since it was a noon game the sun was directly overhead too. I'm pretty sure there was an equal amount of cheering for our team and for the occasional clouds :)
Selfies in direct sunlight are challenging :)

Fighting Texas Aggie Band:

I think there was something like 420 band members this year? HUGE.

2nd half and I'm hot, hot, hot, hot, hot, hot.

Fellow-football-goers: Emily, Jacob & Bryan.

We thankfully did secure a victory, but I think we're all a little nervous about our defense. Hopefully next week we can pull it together a little bit better!!

"I'll be your football, Johnny!"

If you're watching the A&M/Mizzou game right now, you'll know why I got this idea :)
What a game!!!

Lucky QB.

It was very hard to keep her from eating the sign.

Too bad the above one is blurry - it's super cute!

Daddy must have made a funny face.

I bet Johnny couldn't resist :)
Thanks for an awesome season Johnny Football!!

Aggie Baby!

Who is tiny, cute, and a future Aggie?

Such a little angel :)

Who, me?

All smiles.

Love her expression here!

I'm loving this game!
