Happy Easter 2015!

This year Easter started off with some sneaky sister waffle stealing...

hehe, so pleased with herself!

And then church! Pastor Jerry really had a great sermon today for Easter - one that's unlike previous Easter sermons I've heard. The emphasis was that while "Jesus" could be the answer to "what's Easter all about?" it's really more about me! (and you, and everybody). The message was about making Easter personal - accepting that Jesus did not die and rise for himself, but instead for US. And that just as we accept the things others do for us (ex: soldiers at war, so that we may live safely at home), we need to accept that Jesus did this for us, so that may live eternally. It was a new way of looking at it for me, and good to hear. If you are reading my blog and haven't accepted Jesus as your savior, I would love to talk to you about what I believe and why.

In the 2 year old class they sang songs and built a tomb out of half a small chocolate donut and icing (what a delicious way to learn about Easter!)

 Poor Emma had an allergic reaction while at church today :( The culprit we are considering is blueberries, so we're going to keep an eye on that. Some Benadryl and she was well enough to go to Easter lunch with Bryan's side of the family.

From church we then headed over to MeMaw & Paw's house for an Evans' get-together. 

Emma started feeling much better about 30-45 minutes after taking the Benadryl.
