Little Moments on Tues/Weds/Thurs

Nothing big going on the past few days, just little stuff here and there.

Tuesday:

Lunch of a true American toddler: PB&J, goldfish & milk
Can't ride the rocking turtle without Tiggy!

First tantrum. Tiggy is soooo farrrr awaaaayyyyy!!! WAAHHH!!
After several minutes Maverick decided he should investigate what was wrong with this tiny human flailing all over the floor and crying.

Maverick was the cue to stop, apparently! Phew. And Tiggy was back in Emma's arms, all better :)

YAY PRETEND FORK AND BOWL!
Sometimes after school the only thing that gives me enough peace to start dinner is some milk or juice, a snack, and Daniel Tiger

Emma is a climber. And she's fast. I looked up in time to see Emma monkey her way up the picnic table and Clara goes, "I SAVE YOU EMMA LOU!" ... which apparently means she'll just jump up there too. Solidarity.

Scootering with her "hulmut"

Wednesday:

Gym day!
CB: "Rock like a baby wit me Emma"
Basket hang all by herself!

Emma in a tunnel

BIG swing
Singing tick-tock and the bye bye song:

The Kroger by our gymnastics place has a couple of small carts perfect for kids. I wish they had more but we were lucky enough to snag one yesterday. Clara was SUPER happy to help us grab a few things! :)

Then it was time for dinner with Lulu, Papa, Daddy, Mommy, Clara and Emma - our Wednesday tradition.

Emma thought playing peek-a-boo with the paper on the table was so much fun! (Excuse the break in the video for a bite of beans)

they love each other so much

Today:

Today Emma woke up ready to play!

Hi Mom :)
Then she went shopping with me and Lulu to find a dress for Kyle & Kori's wedding.

Followed by a nap and snuggles

And playtime outside until it was time to get sissy!
Bringing me the "hat hulmut"
So I will put it on her
So she can go play :)
 She loves hats!

Trying to escape but no way out!

And now I've got to get Clara. That's all for today, folks!!

Typical Monday

Ah, Monday. I had a terrific day at school. It was one of those rare but blissful days when I feel like I taught well in ALL of my classes, and that ALL of my students learned something! Embracing the rare the moment that it is here :)

Once we were home from school and work and all that good Monday stuff, Clara wanted to take a selfie :)

And then Emma demanded a "cheese" too, hehe

Emma has teeth coming in and is a cranky little dude, so we changed her into pajamas and let her play outside with Clara for a little while before bedtime.

Contemplative baby: deep thoughts in a small package
The ball that is half the size of Emma :)
What a goofball:

Emma's version of "fetch" for Maverick: hold the ball out straight in front of her
Making more fetch attempts and then memorized with Maverick's silliness

Canine bliss:

Love her little grin peeking around the car
Climb in, climb down, climb up, climb down, repeat repeat repeat repeat repeat....

Lucky shot, hehe
 Little one:

Sweet sisters
Back and forth, back and forth:

A ride from sister

Big ball, tiny baby
 Long rides

Clara's turn!

Loves to do what Emma does and visa versa
Loving life

Confirmation and Splashes

On Sunday Alexandra was confirmed at Trinity Lutheran Church! We sat at the very back of the church and attempted to keep our two kids under control. It worked for the first half of the service .... (I was reminded of how much I LOVE our 9:40 service at KUMC and using the nursery! Oh nursery, how I love thee.)

Sweet girlies and Daddy and MeMaw
Crayons: a church favorite for decades
Sister snuggles next to Paw
Congratulations, Alexandra!
Emma hilariously trying to "catch" her shadow, hehehehe
I was bummed to miss the fun after the service, but because Emma was insanely cranky and desperately needed a nap, Bryan dropped Emma and me off at the house so she could take a snooze and I could write a test review. I'm told Clara had a ton of fun playing with Grandpa and Uncle Ronnie though!

Once they returned we fed everyone lunch and then Clara ACTUALLY TOOK A NAP! (Yes, I know, it's amazing. Cue Hallelujah chorus.)

As a reward we took her to another splash pad per her request (I offered her a splash pad or the Children's Museum, and she chose park and splashes)

Her yellow rain boots on the wrong feet with her swimsuit crack me up :)
Series about food and playtime
Clara was quick to point out "good Emma water spots" so sweet

:)
Investigating is what Emma does best
Such a perfect Clara moment
Once they were chilled, Clara decided it was time to move over to the park and leave the water behind. We dried off, changed clothes, and scooted on over.

I love me some hooded towels
I like this :)
The girls had lots of fun climbing, swinging and sliding.

Climbing up!
Both girls swinging away

Once we got home we grilled because it's been such fabulous weather, and the girls got some more playtime in.

It was a really wonderful weekend! I was sad to see it end because we had so much fun and such great quality time with the girls and each other. Love these memories!
