Painting

I will be the first to tell you that I'm no artist. However, I have really wanted Christmasy art on our mantle. Most of the pieces I've come across that go with our decor and have the type of message I like are way too pricey.

So, despite the fact that I haven't painted anything "real" since my last art class in 5th grade, I decided to sketch out what I wanted and give it a try!!

My first attempt is the canvas with the sunset. My second attempt is the canvas of the angel and nativity scene

I'm really pleased with how they turned out!! I also think they may look a bit better in person.
