Reflections on Election Results

The thing about living in a country with 2 major parties is that almost half of the country's population is going to be ticked off every election. That's just the nature of the beast.

I, too, am disappointed with the result.
BUT I'm more disappointed in several things I've read and heard from TV reporters, radio DJs, my students and friends.

To those that have said all of these hateful things:
Do you really want Obama to cheat on his wife so that he can be impeached? (what a horrible thing to hope happens), do you really want to go to war over a party difference? (can you imagine how awful that would be?). do you really need to call him names and curse at his supporters?

The thing is: he IS our president. Like it or not. For 4 more years.

Our job WAS to become informed and vote. Now our job IS to pray for the man that has been elected as the leader of country. He needs wisdom, discernment, and divine guidance.

I'm going to ask you to set an example - and show people that as Christians we know what our job is, and we know how to love one another.
