Breckenridge Day 1

I'm typing this from our room with the baby snoozing in the Pack'n'Play, and the others grabbing a few groceries at the Apple Tree grocery store down the road.

Today went so, so well. Clara deserves an award!

We decided to pack the baby

First we loaded up the car with all of our luggage. Clara wasn't sure why we were excited, but she knew something was up!

Boarded the plane, and Clara climbed ALL over the chair. She smiled at all the other people boarded. Tried to eat the TV screen, chair rest, water bottle, safety brochure ... well, pretty much anything she saw. 

Then after a small dose of Vitamin B (Baby Benadryl) and some food, it was time for the Land of Nod.

Once she woke up, it was time to count down until landing! The ending of the flight was a mite rough. Including the part where she peed all over me and herself. Oh well.

Once we were off the plane, grabbed our baggage & caught the shuttle to Breckenridge from Denver (which was a rodeo), we started to see a very welcoming landscape!

We made it!! Sweet relief.

Unloaded in the condo. Clara was sooooo relieved to have the chance to MOVE! She'd been held, on a plane or in a car from 8:30am-5pm. That's a super long day for a little one that likes to move around.

Once we got unpacked, we bundled Clara up and went to get some dinner at Subway. Then Jamie & I brought our very sleepy little ones back to the condo while Eric, Tyler, Bryan & Mom went to the grocery store.

 

It was a great first day! Clara was seriously a trooper. Hopefully she sleeps really good tonight and is ready for our adventures tomorrow!!
