Alexa's 1st Birthday Party

After our trip to the park on Saturday, Clara took a short snooze and we headed over to Alexa's house to celebrate her 1st birthday!

Alexa had lots of family and friends over, and almost all of our playgroup was able to make it.

Landon, Emily and Clara entertained each other while Alexa did a photo shoot with all of her guests - such a sweet idea :)

They had a moonwalk for the older kiddos. Before the big kids came out to play on it, Emily and Clara got a sneak peek of what it'll be like when they are a little bit bigger :)

 Then it was time to come inside, cool off, and watch Alexa eat some cake.

I couldn't believe Alexa left a lit candle alone. Who knows what Clara would have done?!

But Alexa just sat there checking us all out as we sang Happy Birthday to her. So cute.

She wasn't overly interested in "smashing" the cake like some babies are. She just kept looking at it, and touching it with one finger. Her Daddy finally helped her out by smooshing her hand into the cake and smearing it all over her face. THEN she decided it was tasty :)

There was a giant pinata too! The grandparents actually had the most fun beating up on it.

 

Then the big kids went to play on the moonwalk while our little ones played in the ball pit. Sooooooo cute!!
