Vacation 4: Schlitterbahn Day 1 (Pre-Nap)

Like all good things, our time in San Antonio came to an end, and we hit the trail to New Braunfels on Sunday morning.

First we had some epic epic tantrums. Holy moly.
Thankfully, like all miserable things as well, it also came to an end so we could go get some breakfast:

Crabby Clara
Clara made a little friend :)

Then Clara hung out with Lulu and Papa and played their version of Pictionary:

Emma helping us load up
While I was checking us out, Emma disappeared for a moment, to be found reading US Weekly.
Between the Confederate flag being taken off of a government building and legalized gay marriage this past weekend, I'm sure she found some interesting reading.

We drove to New Braunfels and decided to stop at Sonic to fill up the girls' tummies and change into swim suits.

Clara was crabby all over again when she realized we were stopping BEFORE the water park. Luckily Papa came through and made her smile again :)
Making sunscreen smiley faces
the toy that came with Emma's grilled cheese
Then we checked in, found the house (which was PERFECT!), parked, loaded up the stroller and off we went!!

Clara proceeded to pout until we actually stepped foot in the water
Happy again :)
We started off very low key in the Polliwog area. We were 99.9% positive the girls were going to love Schlitterbahn this year, but until we actually saw them play we were 100% sure.

Within about 5 minutes of getting to play Clara had her first potty accident in almost a month. Thank goodness it wasn't in the water and stayed contained in her swim suit!
uh oh
We got that taken care of, and then we were good to go!
Emma was super excited to get down and explore
Sometimes explorations lead to some silly shenanigans :)

Taking a quick snack and water break:

And a big puppy came by to say hi to the girls. Emma thought this was the worst thing in the world. "NO DOG NO DOG NO DOG!" Clara was not thrilled but only because she would rather be in the water than giving high fives to a random dog that doesn't use all 4 legs like Maggot.

Bryan and I played with the girls while Lulu and Papa went to do some rides, and then we swapped. Mom took Emma to explore this cool little area with a baby car wash!!! (Emma thought it was amazing and did it over and over and over and over again.)

And she really liked the Root Beer Float slide nearby:

The girls were getting pooped out after a few hours of playtime, so it was decided to try to get into our room even though it was a little earlier than 4pm.

Clara thought this was a good idea too :)
I'm going to divide these posts up more than I usually would because I'm trying to write them in the car and my phone's hot spot is a little ify. I don't fully trust blogger with sketchy internet :)
