1st Playgroup of 2014

Here in Houston it is COLD! (Not compared to other places with all those awful negative numbers, but still, 27*F is a bit low for us for aren't used to it and don't have the proper outerwear to combat it!) So that rules out the park, because it's challenging to take toddlers who hate coats and hats into the cold for longer than it takes to sprint across a parking lot.

So we met at Amber and Alexa's house yesterday - thanks for hosting!
I went to Teacher In-Service, picked up Clara at 3 from preschool and then we met up with our friends at 3:30. It was a big day for the squirt. I'm thinking it was a little much actually, but I'm not usually that late in getting her.

Alexa's new slide was a HUGE hit with the small fry!!

Alexa got a fun riding toy from Lauren & Landon!

Landon tried to take away the blanket, but Clara snatched it right back to cover up Dolly
It must be so hard to be a toddler and mentally understanding what needs to be done, but physically unable to do things completely! She wants to dress herself SO BADLY, but just can't quite do it all by herself yet. She's good with helping though!

One last slide for the road:

Then Amber, Alexa, Bryan, Clara & I had dinner at Chilis. I will leave it at: it was a disaster. That's the second time I've had a child with me there and it's gone poorly. I think we're going to veto that Chilies until our kids are older, sheesh.

Tough day, cold night = snuggled and sleeping
