Friends and Fun

The last few days have been busy and fun!

Clara looks so grown up coming home from school, doesn't she? Especially holding Emma's lunch box and Mama's wallet.

Thursday night we met new friends! Nicole and her husband Tom, and their two kiddos, Larkin (Clara's age) and Sawyer (a few months younger than Emma) just moved to Houston from Connecticut. I "met" Nicole online through a mom's group, so I felt like I already knew her. When I found out she was moving here I was super excited. We had them over for dinner and for play time. Clara and Larkin hit it off immediately :)

They wore each other out!
Then meal time with these two squirts the next day. Clara loves to play "mommy" to Emma.
Wiping up Emma's "uh oh"
Emma SO tired, she eat no mo' rice, Mommy
Then today we went to The Woodland's Children's Museum with our new friends too.

Emma drove a truck with Daddy
Getting to be a big girl!

Silly girl is so cute!

Clara and Larkin dressed up all pretty:

And watched a magic show with Nicole, Emma and me.

After (non) naps (grrr), we picked up Sonic and had a picnic at the park with the Bunnis family.
There was very little eating that occurred before running off to play
I started letting Emma slide recently on the bus at home and on the little playset at the museum. Today I tried letting her go down the slide at the park (with readily available support). Pretty soon both littles were having fun sliding!!

Video 1: Having fun!

Video 2: A baby assembly line!

All the kiddos and (almost) all of the adults:

Teething baby problems
Jonah thought it looked like a good idea
 Lots of seesawing!
Love these two! Little sister loves to mimic big sister!

Cute family photo
We lost count of how many random people Clara hugged or played with (adults and kids included!) This particular little girl Clara took by the hand and let all over explaining what to do. The little one followed dutifully behind while her parents cracked up (as did we!).

Practicing kicks across the playground
"Baby brofur TOO, mommy?" HAHAHHAHA, no. Not now, sweetie.

Darlin' girl so proud of herself
Finishing up dinner. Playing is hungry work!
I hope you are enjoying the sunshine as much as we are!
(And I'm trying to be better about updating the blog :)
