Midland Visit: Wednesday

Since it was my Spring Break and Marissa is about to have her second baby, Lulu and I decided it would be fun to take the girls up to Midland to see them.

I spent a few days really talking up the whole airplane ride thing to get Clara excited. The airplane plus knowing she was about to get to see Molly just about made Clara explode with excitement. Emma was just along for the ride :)

A messy snack choice
The girls did relatively well on the flight. Getting onto the flight was a bit rough - especially security. When they needed Clara to put babydoll and car into the bucket to go through the scanner she about lost her mind. Add in 2 bags, a stroller and 6 different buckets with random stuff, plus needing to put shoes back on and we were pretty much a mess. Oh well. Anyway, the girls did lots of snacking, talking to strangers, coloring and reading on the flight. Poor Emma missed her morning nap and was so tired, but just couldn't fall asleep amidst the excitement. She finally did about 10 minutes before we landed, sweet thing.

soooo sleepy
A take charge kinda gal
Clara was super duper excited to see Auntie M and Molly! When we got there Emma went down (reluctantly) for the rest of her nap and Clara and Molly started the reading club that would be extremely active the entire time we were there.

Video of Clara reading in a very strange way to Molly - cracked us up:

Molly, Lulu & Murphy
Clara discovered this Minnie Mouse ride on stroller thing in the guest room closet during her "nap" on Wednesday, and it quickly became a regular entertainment too.

We decided that since it was such a pleasant day we would go play at the park. This was a winning proposition with all 3 little ladies.

I may be easily impressed, but I was really proud of Emma for climbing this ladder all by herself! We started out by having hands ready to catch, but eventually didn't even need to do that. She is fearless.

Seesaw with Molly and Clara
The swings were, as always, a huge hit.
Clara looks unhappy but only because her hood came off
I have a picture of Molly and Clara going down the slide, but really it was Emma that went down the most. One of us would send her down from the top, helping her to lean back a little and then she'd slide down and someone else would catch her at the bottom. She LOVED it.

Only 2 swings and 3 girls? Solution: Sister swing!

Petting Emma's hair, haha
 Clara enjoyed some climbing

And both Clara and Molly enjoyed this variation on a balance beam.

It was a really cool toddler park!

Once we got home there was some more playing, a yummy dinner of tacos, and baths!

I had a really cute picture of the girls holding hands walking down the hallway here (Clara wanted Molly to take a bath with her), but it refuses to post without turning sideways, so just know it exists and is adorable ... haha

Emma had so much fun in the bath with the big girls!

What's a bath without a tea party!?
After so much fun, it was time for the girls to go to bed and the adults to visit :)
