Clara the Ballerina!

Yesterday was Clara's very first ballet class!

As a rough and tumble Mommy with a rough and tumble daughter, I really wasn't sure how this very girly Mommy & Me class was going to go :)
BUT despite my discomfort and unfamiliarity, I really want my daughters to be exposed to all sorts of activities. Maybe they will develop a passion for soccer, kickboxing, music, or dancing. Maybe they won't have a passion, but enjoy trying different things out periodically. I'm determined to remain open minded.

We got off to a rough start due to circumstances preceding the class, being tired after a fun but long day, and feeling a little shy in a new place with new people.

Thankfully about halfway through she developed some enthusiasm for the "games" that introduced the girls to ballet technique. It is a really cool class! And her teacher was wonderful.

At the end, Emma was hungry so Lulu subbed in and sat with Clara while they had "tea and biscuits" (AKA water and animal crackers) and listened to a storybook about a ballerina.

Then we sang a goodbye song and clapped for all the little ballerinas!

I think all of the girls felt very pretty in their little ballet outfits!

Proud of you for trying something new Clara! Love you!
