Children's Museum with Friends

News flash: it's HOT. Like, melt your socks off hot.

We needed something fun INDOORS to do, sooooo I asked some friends if they'd like to join us at the (thankfully air conditioned) Children's Museum for the afternoon.

The kiddos had a blast.

They pretended to be firemen. Landon was particularly enthusiastic about driving :)

They played dress up - Clara chose to be a queen, although she wasn't terribly interested in her subjects.

Devon liked to drag his Mama around pointing at everything he saw. So cute!

Then the kids discovered the digging pit, full of rubber pieces, dinosaurs and dump trucks.
This was a WIN for sure!

Burying Clara
Devon was really good with the shovel:

Clara climbed all over all of the adults.

After we accumulated plenty of rubber pieces in our clothes, we moved on to the next activity - the water tables.

Splashing is lots of fun!
Our munchkins are a little too short to play on the tables without assistance, so Clara was sitting on my knee.

Ohhhhh fishies.

Climb and slide, climb and slide. Again, again, again!

A very cute little girl learned how to get DOWN THE STEPS all on her own!
Whoa.

Sippy cup swap:

After we all worked up an appetite, we walked next door to get some dinner at Los Cucos. Bryan also joined us!

Chad, Landon & Lauren

Getting a little pooped and fussy
This calls for an adult beverage.
Many thanks to Natalie, Devon, Chad, Lauren & Landon for joining Clara & I at the museum! Y'all are so much fun to play with!
(Plus the margaritas were yummy :)
