I love July 4th - well, at least I've loved it ever since we moved to Springcroft Ct :)
We started our day off with a few goofy looks.
More information on the making of her adorable handprint shirt in a future post.
We played with maracas and sang along.
Then, last minute, Bryan and I decided to make shirts for us to match Clara's. They are far from perfect but I really love them anyway :)
Once we were all dressed, it was time to hit the Tomball Independence Day Festival!
(Note: This will be much more fun for Clara when she can walk really well)
Hanging out, enjoying all the people, the band, and the aura of festivity:
While Bryan and I enjoyed snowcones, yumm.
Then it was time for the Annual July 4th Springcroft Cook-Out. The water slide was set up, the grill heated up, fireworks at the ready, the puppies frolicking, and lots of fun people ready to visit and have a good time.

Sweet Aubrey and Clara:
I think one day Clara will make a wonderful big sister. She was so sweet with wee Meagan.
Fortified with some friends and food, we drove to The Woodlands to watch the fireworks from the parking garage roof, which is thankfully available to employees even during non-work hours.
Clara cracks me up.
Trying to keep her entertained while waiting for it to get dark (past her bedtime!)
Greeting Lulu inside:
Posing with our cheesy-yet-fabulous matching July 4th shirts:
Once we were back out on the parking garage roof, the fireworks show started.
Clara was mesmerized! The loud booms and bright lights didn't faze her a bit. She is rather fearless, so I shouldn't have been surprised.
Love this one :)
Whoa... preeeetttyyy
I am so thankful for family, good friends, and our little rugrat.
Happy Birthday, America!
