The breathing treatments and steroids that Clara is on makes her
crazy. It is a possible side effect, and common amongst toddlers to
cause extreme agitation or anxiety, and let me tell you IT'S TRUE.
It's
amazing because it really has helped Clara breathe so much better but
man oh man has it made the last 48 hours rough. I've been bitten
numerous times and hit regularly. She rarely stops whining more than 5
minutes at a time (the longest I've managed to distract her with
something fun).
We even went to Bouncing Bears Thursday afternoon with BreAnna and Ruth and Michelle and Zachariah in hopes that
doing something fun with friends would cheer her up. She would run
around and have fun jumping and playing and then completely melt down
and cry and hit, and then 10 minutes later be ready to run around for a
few minutes, melt down, and repeat over and over.
Anyway,
it's been rough and I'm having a tough time holding on to my patience,
especially with her not sleeping well on top of the agitation. So while
we are very grateful that there is medicine out there to help her
breathe easier, we would love for the side effects to minimize or
disappear. Please pray for our munchkin (and our supply of patience.) Only two more days of the steroid (deep breaths).
Anyway, because I'm feeling all gloomy I decided while we were there to try to capture the happy moments to prove to myself that they did happen and it wasn't all in my imagination :)
