Holiday Celebration: Day 5 (Evans' Family)

We drove back to our house in Spring on Tuesday night. Clara did NOT enjoy the ride back any more than she enjoyed the ride there, but what can you do? Car seats are for safety, not fun, so we all dealt and prayed the drive would magically get shorter.

She went to bed in these super cute pajamas:

But at some point last night (I guess before Santa arrived), she pulled off her pants and her poopy diaper and smeared it everywhere. Merry Christmas morning to Daddy when he went to go get her!!

After she was cleaned up (and her room) and after play time and then a short nap, it was time to meet the Evans for a Christmas Day lunch!

Clara helped us unload the gifts using her little wagon.

She ate pretty much yogurt, yogurt covered nuts and pretzels. Well rounded diet, you see.

She didn't last very long at the table, but we enjoyed conversation while she did.

Pretty soon she was having a good time playing with Grandpa and Daddy!

When she got the table a little wet, she was quick to clean it up :)

Just a little light reading.

This series of pictures seriously cracks me up.

Oh, just catching up on my Family Circle reading

Grandpa is so fun!

Giddy up Grandpa!

Posing for a picture for Daddy before opening gifts and stockings

More ripping paper! Love this part! :)
 Ooooh, a book!!

Giving the Gingerbread Man Daddy made in 1st grade a big hug.

She was a good elf and delivered gifts.
To Aunt Lety
To MeMaw
But she sticks around in case anyone needs her help opening them :)

Love this! She carried it like a purse! To Roger.
I can't believe at least a third to half of the pictures this Christmas involve Clara's finger up her nose! We've all got the sinus stuff going on, but yuck. Oh well!
Blackmail opportunities later in life maybe?

A gift from Uncle Roger, Aunt Lety and Maddie

Gotta peal all the paper off before getting to the toy.

It's "uck"!

Figuring it out quickly!
A gift from MeMaw and Paw: a stroller and highchair for Dolly!

A gift from Grandpa and Celina - a clock with lots of numbers to pull in and out. And I can't believe I don't have a picture of it yet, but Ronnie also made this really neat lamp that spells out Clara's name!

Daddy being sweet and putting together the stroller for Dolly

yay!

Hanging with Daddy & Grandpa
Dolly got thirsty from her ride. Don't worry, Clara took care of it.

We had a great time! Clara was still super tired, but she made it almost 3 hours before becoming downright delirious. When we got home she crashed for a good hour before getting up and ready for dinner and more playtime. So many fun new things to play with!
