MDO Christmas Program 2013

Today was Clara's first Christmas program! She attends MDO at Trinity once a week and they've been preparing a song for the children's program. The MDO kids went first, "sang" only one song, and then went to sit with their parents before the pre-k and kinder kids did all of their songs and readings.
Clara's MDO class is the youngest, and she's got 4 classmates - 2 of them were able to be there with her today and her teacher, Ms. Diane, who is wonderful!  These three were carried down the aisle since they weren't too sure about what was going on. The rest of the MDO kids did great for the most part - I think only 2 cried? (and none of the littlest ones!)

The left picture is a blurry photo from while they were singing, the top right was after they were done and she was waiting with her teacher and classmates for their parents to come get them, and the bottom right photo is when Clara was the last child left on stage because she wasn't ready to be done! She reluctantly agreed to leave the stage for the next group of kids with a bribe of Ritz crackers. A girl's gotta choose between fame and snacks, you know?

Here's a video of their song (Remember to change the setting to 720HD):

Here's part of the program - the second song, "Ding, Dong, Ding" was the one the MDO kids did.

After the preformed Clara sat between Bryan & I for almost 45 minutes chowing down on some crackers, shouting "yay" at random intervals, clapping and dancing to the music. She also made friends with the people in the pews around us, of course.

Bryan managed to get this cute video of a few minutes of Clara while we were waiting for the other performers:

(Once we've got an HD version, I'll update the video)

About 2/3 of the way through the program (which was an hour in!) she was pretty done waiting and kept trying to leave and telling everyone bye bye. We decided that was a good enough cue for us to escape before she had a melt down.

It was a cute program and I'm so glad we were able to see it!
